WeaveTech is specifically designed not to resemble leather or even faux leather as a way of encouraging the auto industry to create more interiors that are friendly to animals and the environment, Polestar says on its website.
The emissions-free, animal-free car has a value of $59,900, a starting bid of $30,000 and a buy-now price of $119,800 for anyone who wants to instantly express a love for animals by paying double.
The auction is part of PETA’s virtual anniversary celebration, which will include appearances by Paul McCartney, Dolly Parton and Patrick Mahomes.
